Jeannene Tedesco - CFO for IBT, Inc.
Her ability to speak Spanish fluently has helped Jeannene Tedesco in many areas of her life, especially with her job as Chief Financial Officer for International Business Trade, Inc. (IBT). IBT is a newly formed company that offers consulting services to U.S. businesses who either own or conduct businesses in Mexico, South America and Latin America,. They offer a vast amount of services, which include translation, financial planning, travel arrangements, relocation, convention or trade show planning, and training on the business and cultural aspects of these countries.
Education and Background
Jeannene has an MBA, and she has CPA certification as well. In addition to her impressive credentials, she has a diverse and solid background in accounting and finance. In the 1980s, she and a partner owned a small accounting business in California. When Jeannene met her husband, she relocated to the Midwest and worked for a Big Eight accounting firm as an auditor. While she enjoyed this type of work, the travel kept her away from her husband and two sons much too often. Anxious to settle into a position that required less traveling, she accepted a position as the CFO for a fast growing pharmaceutical distribution company. Jeannene played an enormous role in managing the finances and accounting for a company that went from three million dollars to a thirty million dollar operation within three years. Jeannene held this position for six years until the company was sold in 2006.
IBT
When Jeannene heard about IBT, she was ecstatic because she spent a lot of time in Mexico when she was younger and was very familiar with the culture. In addition, she has traveled extensively doing mission work and acting as a translator in South America and Latin America. For her, this job was a perfect fit. Jeannene has been a valuable asset to IBT with her experience and knowledge not only in regard to the financial aspect, but she has also been a tremendous help in advising the CEO and Human Resource manager in hiring just the right people for this highly specialized business.
In her leisure time, she loves to travel, cook, and spend time with her family.
